As part of the exhibition Discontinuous Lines: Julije Knifer and Kumi Sugai—marking the first presentation of Julije Knifer’s work in Japan—galerie frank elbaz is pleased to invite you to a conversation between independent curator Ana Knifer and Ryo Sawayama, art critic and author of the essay accompanying the exhibition.

Together, they will explore the connections between Knifer and Sugai through the lens of continuity and rupture, the visualization of processes, and visual intensity, while reflecting on the ongoing resonance of their work today.
