Sheila Hicks

We are pleased to announce that a dedicated room of Sheila Hicks’ work will be featured in Are We Still Up To It? – Art and Democracy, the 2025 summer exhibition of the Sammlung Moderne Kunst at Herrenchiemsee Palace.

Bringing together over 50 works, the exhibition explores key democratic values such as freedom, self-determination, and human dignity. Hicks’ contribution includes a focused presentation of iconic and historical works—among them Reflections of Versailles—in dialogue with modern and contemporary masterpieces and site-specific installations throughout the palace.
