«mangelos' last work was dedicated to the fall of Babylon. "Mane, Tekel, Fares", are the words that an invisible hand writes on the wall of the king's palace, as it is recalled in the Book of Daniel in the Bible. They mean "counted, weighted, divided" and announced the fate of the people of Babylon, and the doom of their kingdom. The expression generally implies that the futute is predetermined.»
