For our participation in Art Basel in June 2025, we are delighted to present a selection of works by Chloé Delarue, Sheila Hicks, Julije Knifer, Mikael Lo Presti, Mangelos, Kenjiro Okazaki, Machiko Ogawa, and Mungo Thomson.This selection reflects the gallery’s program as well as the artists’ institutional highlights in 2025.
Sheila Hicks (b. 1934) will open a solo exhibition at SFMOMA in August 2025, which will include a new site-specific installation. Several of her major works are also featured in an exhibition organized by the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, currently on view at the Herrenchiemsee Palace.
A landmark solo exhibition of Kenjiro Okazaki (b. 1955), 而今而後 Time Unfolding Here, opened in April at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT), offering a large-scale, in-depth survey of his practice, as he is celebrated as one of Japan’s leading contemporary artists.
Julije Knifer (1924 – 2004) and Mangelos (1921–1987) are featured in the semi-permanent display at MoMA, New York, dedicated to the vibrant mid-20th-century Zagreb art scene. Knifer’s works are also included in I Walk the Line, a group exhibition currently on view at Le Consortium, Dijon, France.
During Art Basel this year, Chloé Delarue (b. 1986) will present her work as a finalist of the Swiss Art Awards. Her work is also featured in Mille et une vies, a group exhibition currently taking place at Villa Datris, Paris.
Machiko Ogawa (b. 1946) is currently holding her first solo exhibition with galerie frank elbaz, on view until July 12. Her work has also been selected for the prestigious Aichi Triennale, opening in Tokyo this September.
Mungo Thomson (b. 1969) has recently been awarded a 2025 Guggenheim Fellowship in the category of film and video.
Finally, large-scale paintings by Mikael Lo Presti (b. 1989) are currently on view as part of the permanent collection of the Astrup Fearnley Collection, Oslo, Norway. He will present his first solo exhibition at galerie frank elbaz in September 2025.
